How the service works
Step 1. MHEX simplifies referrals with an easy-to-use online form, ensuring swift, streamlined access to essential mental health services and personalized care coordination for children and youth, all starting within 24 hours of initial contact.
Step 2. Within 48 hours of your referral, a senior clinician will call to assess your needs by phone, asking clarifying questions and coordinating the initial assessment to ensure a tailored and timely approach to your mental health care.
Step 3. After the phone consultation, we will send brief questionnaires covering developmental history, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, attention, mood, anxiety, and family or school context to help prepare and guide the assessment.
Step 4. Within one week of receiving the completed questionnaires, MHEX provides a tailored 1.5-hour mental health assessment, conducted online or in person by a senior clinician. This assessment explores your concerns in depth and helps begin a personalised care plan designed to address your specific needs effectively.
Step 5: Within two weeks of your referral, we deliver a detailed report and a customised mental health plan designed to address your specific needs, ensuring you receive comprehensive and timely support to help manage and improve your mental health effectively.
